Chonda made me laugh the first time I met her! Laughing in the Dark is an inspiring look at a woman of faith who is defeating darkness everyday with the truth that “a joyful heart is good medicine.

Kirk Cameron

Chonda took transparency to a new level in “Laughing in the Dark”. I found parts of it side-splitting funny. I also found parts of it gut wrenching sad. It’s the well told story of a Christian woman who must live her life, dirty laundry and all, for others to see and judge. I will watch it again and again to catch the things I missed the first time because I was either laughing too hard or weeping with my face in my hands. It was an emotional roller coaster for sure. But one that I will choose to ride again because when I disembark, I’m a better person for having been thrown for a loop-the-loop! Thanks for showing Christians how life is real and God still wins, Chonda!

Chonda Pierce:  Laughing in the Dark is so compelling you just won’t stop watching.  Chonda is transparent, tender, tough and thoughtful.  As you watch her story unfold, you wonder how sadness and laughter can exist in the same moment.  Woven in all her life challenges is the beautiful story of how the Lord used her humor to reach 1,000’s of women even in her toughest seasons.
